This is one my favorite lunch spots and it is great! The atmosphere. The great food choices; I get the Tiger club. It has bacon, turkey and avocado.Ymm! The vegetables are extremely fresh. Oh and how could I forget the pita. Chose either white or wheat. It is warmed to perfection. The prices are comparable to Subway, however, the staff is much nicer and the ingredients look fresher. The manager gets to know his regulars. To sum things up, this place is inviting, charming and delicious! Let me know when you try it out yourself.

I'm not changing my star rating in my prior review, so check it out below. However, I did want to add that Pita Pit is awesome for delivering on a large order. I often buy food for my students when we're working hard on a project. I order from Pita Pit every time and every time they get the order spot on and prepared quickly -- even when 10 to 15 separate pitas.

Classic Pita Pit food. Didn't blow me away. Definitely not the cleanest location I've ever seen. That being said, I'd go back if I was really craving it.

The food wasn't bad but it wasn't mind blowing either. The staff had a very friendly attitude and worked well with each other. This was a step up from subway but more money. I asked for cucumber sauce however it was just plain sour cream. I guess I wanted more of a Greek and Lebanese style. My son really enjoyed his food but he's a subway junkie. Not bad just not what I expected. I would eat here again because it is obviously healthier lifestyle than eating jack in the box.

This is located at a happenin' spot by LSU campus. Surrounded by Louie's Buffalo Wild Wings, Raising Cane's, etc. You walk into the store feeling this sense of freshness from the array of fresh vegetables ready to jump into your pita! I fancy a palate-pleasing gyro (pronounced "yee-roh" people, not "jy-ro"), so if a sandwich shop has one, I am always game to try it! The Pita Pit packs their pita with fresh vegetables and savory Mediterranean gyro meat, so it is quite tasty! Of course there are others out there that truly take the cake, but if you are looking for one on the run and do not have time to dine-in at a Greek & Lebanese restaurant, this is a great place! The customer service was okay, but not terrible...guessing mostly college kids work there. When I was in college, I was not always too bubbly especially after nights of cramming for an exam, finishing up a time-consuming project or from the little bit of partying I did (LOL).

Huge selection of additives for your pita. Don't waste you're time at Chipotle. Pita pit cooks the meat when you order. Chipotle doesn't even have jalapeños.

Well, this is a restaurant I go to when I'm just hungry. It's an inexpensive place with a great selection of entrees. A step up from Subway and a great draft beer price. Located close to LSU campus and open late at nights, this is a very convenient place to eat.

I got off work late and was starving. I didn't feel like cooking and had no desire to supersize anything. I pulled out my trusty yelp app and discovered this little nugget of of joy. Instead of ordering delivery, I opted to drive in since I was unaware of the concept. The place looked like it had just gotten rocked by a solid group of drunken teenagers. I felt pretty badly for the staff. They were very friendly and helpful despite the hurricane that had just passed through the restaurant. I ordered the Dagwood (turkey, ham and prime rib) and put hummos, corn, black beans, romaine, spinach and tatziki sauce on it! Woohoo! Man I am in hog heaven! The ingredients were fresh and delicious. Next time my fat ass is getting double meat. Mmmmm meat, but double! Thank you pita pit for giving me another option to think outside the bun.

My husband got the Aloha pita and he liked it but wasn't raving about it. Pita bread and dip was good. Make sure u get them to warm the bread.

This place is pretty good. It's a tad expensive considering you don't get chips and a drink with the pita, but it's still a nice sized meal. I like that you can build your own pita and you watch them do it. There's also nutritional info available, which is important to me at least.

One of the better fast food places on the north end of the LSU campus. Good tasting, open late, and overall just a great place to go to.

Oh pita pit how I love the fact that you are open till 3am and serve $1 PBR tall cans. I wind up here more often than not after a night of drinking despite the fact that Raising Cains and Louis Cafe are usually also open at the same time. I somehow always convince myself that you will be the healthier choice compared to the other two options available within a few short blocks, but I always seem to order the most unhealthy thing on the menu and then ask for it to be covered with extra cheese and dressing. Unfortunately I have never been here not-drunk so I can't truly comment on the quality or deliciousness of your food without expressing that caveats. When you are drunk this place is amazing, so if you are pre-gaming it, it is a great place to go. If you leave the bar and need some food after also a great place to go. What can I say pita pit, I have such fond memories. On the top of my list was watching someone puke on the tables on your patio at 2:30am. Picture this, the vomit ran through the wire mesh directly on to his legs and the ground. You never know what you are going to see around here at that time of night and going here after the bars close and watching the drunks makes for one entertaining show.

The Subway of gyro joints. It appears to be a chain, and a clever one at that. It's just like walking into a Subway where there's an assembly line of people throwing together a panoply of pita-wrapped sandwiches. Some are just like any sandwich shop (club, turkey, veggie). Some are more like a Mediterranean place, with gyro or falafel. Generally the service was fast for a very busy lunch period right off LSU's campus. But the food was mediocre. I had the falafel pita with feta cheese and many veggies. It was filling but not much flavor. My companion had the club, which he deemed o.k. The sandwiches are large and filling for sure, but for about the same money one can hike down Aster street to Atcha Bakery for a great deal more authenticity in the pita and gyro department.

Love Pita Pit! My favorite is the Philly steak, it is delicious. I've also had the spicy black bean vegetarian pita and it was so tasty, I loved it. The pitas are huge for the price.

Where should I begin? There are a few things wrong with this place. First of all, it's too expensive. Eight dollars for one pita not including chips and a drink? That's disgusting. I'll have none of that. Second, the sandwiches are half a foot long at max. Third, the pita was cold. It would have been nice if it was warm. I mean, maybe I'm going a little too far here, but if I paid top price for food I want something worthwhile. Fourth, I had to go somewhere else for lunch because I was still hungry. I guess that coincides with my second complaint, but that's a big problem. Next time I am going to Subway across the street to get a footlong. I would advise you to do that as well, unless you have something against chain restaurants. Which in that case, I don't even understand why you would go to Pita Pit in the first place.

Just ate there for the first time. Had the jerk chicken pita. It was good, not jerk seasoned but still good! The ole' lady she had the BBQ chicken pita. It must have been good cause she ate the whole sandwich and she is a little lady who never eats a whole sandwich! Atmosphere not that great and was a bit pricey for being on a college campus, but I will return.

We called from work for delivery and 35 minutes after they took our order, (about $26 and the order was taken by the manager) the restaurant called back and said that it was a $60 minimum for delivery. I had called BEFORE we placed the order and asked what the minimum amount for delivery was and was told $10. This is a crock! They tout that they deliver, but I guess that if you are not at LSU, forget it. Boo, Hiss!!! Students are not the only people who want to eat at night.
